Im Vinny, I'm in Plymouth, England, and I chose Puffy Ami Yumi because they're cute and fun. I'm not knitting anything pink or punk at the moment, cos Im right in the middle of a baby jumper with ducks on.... but it is a really cool bright orange! However I do have pink hair at the moment so I reckon that qualifies.. heres a pic of me with my daughter.
Good to be here, anyway :D

I have been working on writting a book for our Charity Knitting Group. It is slow going and taking more time than it should.
Just wanted to say Hello.

And that's about it for today. I hope that everyone is well...TAKE CARE and Happy Knitting!
Carolyn is finally in one piece! Perfect timing too, the snowy cold days left this past weekend, so I've been wearing this cardigan outside non-stop.
I must admit, I just want to make more sweaters and shirts, but I really have my eye on making an Intolerable Cruelty skirt next, possibly in black, or a deep burgundy/red...

Finished up the Dream Swatch Wrap today with some leftover Koigu. I think the green yarn goes very nicely with the purple-y hair.

Asides from that I also love to draw and I'm learning how to paint (oil, watercolour), but atm I don't have much space to paint so that's been put on hold for a bit unfortunatly.
Anywho, here is my last knitted project.. I tried to design my own wristband and I think it turned out ok. As you can see it still looks a mess lol but I'm going to steam block it and obviously weave in the ends =)
I knitted my Stormy Seas socks that I had hand dyed for me. The are just a basic sock pattern and helped fill in the mornings before leaving for work.
By night using Soysilk Infinity and 2mm needles I knitted the Estonian Garden Lace scarf and tweaked it with more of the lily of the valley repeats as I loved them so much. It got a special display place this weekend at our SnB exhibition.
More about my other adventures in the strange city are on my blog I got both of these finished and then came home for easter with a good chunk of my ISE 4 scarf done. But now it has been knitted then occasionally it gets muddled with the grey matter and needs a slight frogging exercise. So it is also time for me to try and get things made for an up coming sale in a few weeks time.

The hat was modified from a pattern in The Knitter's Bible: knitted accessories book by Claire Crompton. I made it slightly larger with an inserted head band. The scarf is from Modular knits by Iris Schreier; zigzag scarf. Full details on the projects & books are on my blog (Mar.22 entry).
Picture of Samantha sporting her hat which she refuses to take off. Can be worn many different ways depending on her mood, but all make her look equally saucy. Only thing she needed in this pic was some numbers; nice mug shot Sam, lol.
Not my style, but we take turns running programming at the local Machine Knitter's Guild. Unfortunately, I'm the youngest (37) & funny enough, there aren't any 60 yr old (avg age, but we have some 80) punk rockers in the membership, lol. However, they all find me interesting & entertaining (I think they mean scarily eccentric) & seem to accept me for who I am; nice change. This was called a butterfly tuck pattern done in sports weight on the LK150 (not sure if anyone does machine knitting here).
Luv you guys :O)

Azorzah and Wings of Azorzah
Midnight and Wings of Midnight
Sea Dragon and Wings of Sea Dragon
I am going to ply the dragon's hair with it's respected wing roving. That should ad some really nice depth to the yarn. I cannot wait.
Oh yeah, I am a fiber junkie. I spin, dye, knit, crochet, felt, and lust over soft fibery thing.

The vest is actually called the "Textured Vest" from Fall 2005 Vogue Knitting. I am calling it the Avalon Vest since it's for a group I belong to..."Knitters Of Avalon." Anyways, the best I could share today is progress, not a finished knit. I am knitting as fast as I can...LOL!
So, how is everyone else doing these days?

Well, I did make a few mistakes right as I was starting the beaded patterning, which is why knitting when very tired isn't such a good idea. They're not really noticeable mistakes though, thankfully.
Over all, I'm pleased, and it's very comfy to wear around.
One is for my granbaby and one is for mr.sunneshine or myself when we are delivering our baskets this year. Had a couple issues, and am stopping by Michaels for some fine gauge wire to help keep the ears up. When I have modeled photos I will post them on my blog... and there will be details about the knitting mis-adventures there too (later)...
