I think I am sweatered out, at the moment. I just finished a large sweater project and need a break.
Next up on my knit list is the Irish Hiking Scarf in the pictured yarn that I purchased today. The yarn is Patons SWS. It's gorgeous yarn and it has a really nice feel to it. It's 70% wool and 30% soy. The color I chose was # 70013, Natural Earth. I was going to order it online, but I found it $2.00 cheaper at my local Michael's. Woo Hoo! I think 4 skeins will be enough to make the scarf.
Happy Weekend and Happy Knitting!

oh, I love that yarn!! It is so pretty knit and wears really well!! I just sent some to my SP9 pal - she made a gorgeous scarf - can't wait to see yours!! And sales always make it sweeter!!
i got this yarn from my AWESOME swap pal (Elspeth) and it was sooo nice to knit with! you're gonna love it!
I can't wait to see that finished! I've used SWS twice now -- despite having some minor issues when knitting it, I sure love to wear it.
I made some scarves of good size with only 2 skeins of SWS so you should be fine with 4. I love this stuff, but being single ply it can be a little splitty when knitting. But it spit splices beautifully so there's no ends to weave in!
I have started my scarf with the SWS yarn. I am going to admit that it takes getting used to knitting with it, but once you get the hang of it...works nicely. The colors make up for the trials.
The yarn is twisted a lot and it seems to untwist a little as you knit. You just have to get the tension right. Splitting a bit too, as you knit. Nothing major. Just pay attention to the stitches and don't go too fast.
I've heard so many nice things about Patons SWS, and I have 10 skiens of it coming soon for a Danica/Lady E for me, me, me!! Also, the IHS is gorgeous and fun to knit. I've made it twice.
Can't wait to see it!
