I have finally started a project that has been nagging me for over a year. It's my NIN Sweater, the beginning. This sweater is my own design, including the NIN/Trent Reznor image. We will see how well this goes. Intarsia knitting is not one of my strong points. I hate all the tangled yarn and fuss. I am a bit nervous over this project...
If anyone would like the NIN/Trent Reznor chart...it's on my blog, here.
I chose black and red for this round of Project Spectrum. June/July is Red, Black and Metallic months. I am all over that, seeing as how red and black are two of my favorite colors.
I am about 15 rows into the chart. You can see the beginnings of the chart neckline on the left of my knitted piece. My plans...well, the chart is going to cover the left front half of the sweater. All 110 rows of chart, that is...LOL! The NIN logo will be placed on one of the sleeves, at the bottom, by the cuff. I also added a 2 row strip of red at the bottom. That same strip will run along the top of the chart. The back piece will be entirely black with the same two red strips along the back, to match. That's the plan, anyway...Wish Me Luck!

It looks great so far! Very ambitious of you. I can't wait to see how it looks when its done!!
looks great, red and black are my favorite colors too... And intarsia knitting is the least favorite thing I ever tried - except sewing perhaps.
Looks great Lana. I can't wait to see it done. You have to send Trent a pic of you wearing it when you finish.
Very cool - can't wait to see how this turns out!
I can't wait to see how your design looks finished! Very neat idea.
So ambitious! Man, that's awesome. You should post some pattern-y details from your notes when you're done... I'd love to make one with David Bowie or Robert Smith on it.
Oh yes, I will share the pattern and notes on the sweater upon completion. Stay tuned...
found you all while blog hopping - what a fabulous sweater idea! and trent reznor is not a bad choice either! look foward to the end result
