Greetings All!

Hello,

I am new to the group and just wanted to say hello. Don't know what exactly to say about myself except that I love knitting and music (guess that says it all!). A little sample of something I knit up recently. This is the Lana & Clark Ascot from Vickie Howell of Knitty Gritty. If anyone is interested in the pattern, here is the link:

I knit it up with "Rock", from Vickie Howell's new line of yarn in the color Joan. It was a lot of fun to do - especially the picot edging. Well, that's it for now. I'm looking forward to chatting with you all. Cheers!

I love Vickie Howell and that ascot! Great color too.

Thanks Lana and Pins! It's a really quick project, which I like. Plus, the black yarn makes it look very dramatic. I'm going to knit up some wristwarmers sooner to accompany the ascot! In black, of course.

Very cute - what did you think of that yarn? I was thinking of buying some, but haven't seen it in person yet.

Hi Kimberly!

I really liked the yarn, and it was easy to work with. "Rock" is 40% soysilk/30% wool/30% hemp. It's been really hard to find - none of my local stores carry it, so I bought it online at Webs(www.yarn.com).

I've also tried "Love" which is 70% bamboo and 30% silk. I'm making a really nice little scarf right now with it and will post a photo when its finished. The only yarn from Vickie Howell that I haven't tried yet is "Craft."
