The Gut Feeling Sweater

We haven't found out yet what the sex of the baby is (that's not for like... oh... 3 or 4 more weeks I guess) but I went with my gut feeling on this one and made this for the upcoming (coming soon to a knitter near you in July!) Stephieface Offspring....

Pattern: from here, the Quickie Baby Sweater
Yarn: Bernat's Softee Chunky
(it has purple buttons now after this pic was taken)

More details on the home blog, like what I thought of the pattern and what changes were made (there weren't that many). Now I'm trying to find a baby sweater pattern that is just as fast that I can knit in black with a possible pink skull.... gotta raise em up right, you know? ;)

the new knit.1 magazine has a punk rock baby knits section with a skull baby sweater. It will probably need to be sized down (if I remember correctly, I think it's sized for 6+months). Or a little black cardigan with a pink sweater on the right shoulder would be totally cute, too!

Too cute! I have to destash my stash and found some chunky yarn that I could possibly make a baby sweater with. So, I've been looking, just not very well. Thanks for the pattern direction. It looks cute!

that is so cute! I found a baby outfit with a black sweater and white skull, with black and white stripe pants in the new knit1 magazine. I am saving the pattern for when my brother and sister in law have a kid and I can goth that kid oout. I have a pattern for a goth baby blanket somehwere also. Gonna be like the Addams Family. My brother and sister in law were so happy about the pattern, that they are anxious for me to make it now.

Such a cute sweater! Now she just needs a little stripe skully to punk up the outfit (and maybe some stripe tights too!) I hope its a beautiful little girl - you'll have to post her in the sweater for all of us to adore.

On the We Call Them Pirates Kal (link on my blog) there is someone taking that skull pattern and making a baby sweater. When she is done and posts the pattern I will try to remember to forward it to you. Sounds cute....

Aww everyone stole my ideas! lol

I think everyone gets that "feeling". We'll hope you are right! Did you see the Chuck Taylor booties I made? There's a link around somewhere for them. Then you can have a full little outfit!
