Xmas Tree @ Casa Lana

We finally put up our tree, this afternoon. It's a lot bigger than I originally wanted, but I sort of like it. My Xmas tree is usually a mix-match of stuff. Most of my ornaments are home-made or kid-made. I also have several that we given to me over the years. This year features colored lights. It was all we had left from last year. I prefer white, non-blinking lights on me tree. I am sort of neurotic that way.

So, what do ya think? Now I just need to find my festive, holiday spirit. I am positively Bah-humbug-y! I am blaming PMS and I am sticking with that explanation...

Your tree looks sweet! My tree (a walmart $17 dealie) could never wish to compare. Mine only has lights, and a finger knitted garland. I have no ornaments on it. Why? The Flying Diaperini Brothers are knocking it over, and hup hupping it all over the house. I found it in the bathroom the other day.

I love it! It looks very much like the trees we used to have when I was growing up in the PNW - that is before my family went to the darkside and got an artificial tree. Now in CO we have much skimpier trees. And for the record, I think, trees are supposed to have a bunch of mis-matched, homemade, gifted ornaments that mean something -- you are pulling them out of the box thinking of how you acquired them, who made them when - those are the good things . . .

The trees here are all local. Well, form the Pacific NW anyways. They are all full like that. We are famous for the evergreen trees up here. LOL!
